The WBO has announced that the September 18 bout at the LG Arena in Birmingham, England between light heavyweights Karo Murat and Nathan Cleverly will not be for the WBO interim title as had been advertised by promoter Frank Warren.
“The World Boxing Organization officially clarifies that the bout is a WBO Lt. Heavyweight Elimination Bout,” we were informed. The winner will be the mandatory challenger for WBO world champion Jürgen Brähmer.
