Reportedly, should IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham get by mandatory challenger Giovanni Lorenzo on June 27 in Germany, negotiations could intensify between Sauerland Promotions and Top Rank for an Abraham-Kelly Pavlik IBF/WBC/WBO unifier sometime this coming fall – possibly November 17 at Madison Square Garden.
Pavlik (35-1,31 KOs) is also scheduled to be in action on June 27…the “Ghost” is penciled in to take on Sergio Mora in Atlantic City. The 27-year-old Pavlik re-solidified himself as the best middleweight in the world this past February with a convincing TKO victory over Marco Antonio Rubio in his hometown of Youngstown, Ohio.
The 29-year-old Abraham (29-0, 23 KOs) from Berlin, Germany, is coming off a lack luster points victory over Philadelphian LaJuan Simon, on March 14 in Kiel, Germany.
